This Privacy Policy explains how Knifeball League (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit knifeball-league.com (the “Site”), join our mailing list, or buy merch. Questions? Contact us at privacy@knifeballleague.com.
Information we collect
- Mailing list. When you sign up, we collect your email address and the IP address you signed up from, which we keep as the record that you asked to join. You are added to the list as soon as you submit the form. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
- Text messages (SMS). If you choose to join by text, we collect your mobile number. SMS consent is separate from email consent — opting in to one never opts you in to the other, and you can join either without the other. We use your number only to send the updates you asked for (new music, shows, presales, merch drops). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your number for anyone else’s marketing.
- Merch orders. Purchases are processed by our store and payments provider, which collects the information needed to fulfill your order (name, shipping address, email, and payment details). We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Analytics. We use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics provider. It measures aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, general country/device) and does not collect personal data, set cookies, or track you across other sites.
- Spam prevention. The signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to block automated abuse. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Server / hosting logs. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To send you the updates you asked for (new music, shows, drops) — and only until you unsubscribe.
- To process, fulfill, and support your merch orders.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the Site.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (mailing list); performance of a contract (processing your order); and our legitimate interests (site security, spam prevention, and privacy-preserving analytics).
Cookies
The Site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. Google reCAPTCHA and our checkout provider may set their own cookies, governed by their respective policies.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that make the Site work:
- Our email and SMS marketing provider — mailing-list and text-message management.
- Our store and payments provider — store, checkout, and payments.
- Google — reCAPTCHA. Privacy
- Our analytics provider — cookieless analytics.
- Our hosting provider — hosting.
We can tell you exactly who these providers are on request — just email privacy@knifeballleague.com.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your email address and, if you gave one, your mobile number until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Order information is retained by our store and payments provider per its policies and any legal/tax obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any message, or contact us at privacy@knifeballleague.com to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
International transfers
Our providers are primarily based in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
